Arogya Sandhan Santoshpur has widest experience in the health field, emphasis is given to deliver preventive care to the community people as well as the attending patients at their doctor clinic. Arogya Sandhan Santoshpur has conducted many eye camps and has been holding eye clinics regularly. Our experience shows that in eye camps and regular clinics, the number of patients requiring medical attention is 20%, those requiring cataract surgery is 20%, whereas those requiring corrective eyeglasses are about 60%. Poor eyesight that is left untreated can cause blindness or force adults into unemployment.

Thanks to Dr Ashis Mukherjee,DO has been helping Arogya Sandhan by attending Arogya Sandhan’ s Eye Clinic and arranging free 10 Micro/Pheco Cataract Surgery of patients downtrodden section of the society, every month since June 2002.

Gastro-Enterological Care

Arogya Sandhan is unique in organizing such sophisticated camps for diagnosing gastroenterological problems which is very prevalent in this part of the country. Water is creating this problem. Opened unhygenic Pond water is being used for bathing,washing,cooking even drinking in remote rural areas of West Bengal. Sufferings from gastrointestinal problems like H.Pilori, Gastritis, Ulcer, acidity, cholera, etc are rampant.

No other organization in this part of the country could penetrate in rural Bengal with such sophisticated medical gadgets and equipments. Thanks to our Advisory Board Member Dr. Sabysachi Pattnaik, renowned gastroenterologist of Kolkata and his team who have made this possible.
