We would like to bring to your kind information that since 2005 Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust (Registered u/s 12 (4) of National Trust Act and u/s 52 (2) & (4) of PWD Act) has been endeavoring its best to create awareness among the common people for developing an inclusive, barrier-free and rights-based society for the protection, rehabilitation and development of the differently-able children.
Every body will appreciate that the burning problem of the parents of differently-able children is to get an answer to “who will look after their children in their absence!”
With a view to solving this great problem of the parents of differently able children, Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust has made some headway to establish a “Residential Care Home” for 100 such children in a 28000 sq. ft. covered area at Sonarpur, South 24 Pgs in order to address the burning question of the parents.
However, this endeavor of ours is a tip in the ice burg. You will definitely agree with us some philanthropic organizations and individuals should come forward to address this gigantic issue.
In order to look into the matter in its entirety, we have planned to hold “A Panel Discussion” of the experts in different fields of disability on Sunday, 4th December, 2011 at 11:00 am at the auditorium of Manovikas Kendra, E.M.Bypass, Kolkata (Near Ruby General Hospital).
