A. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust believes that Work is essential for every human being, not only for the sake of money and for economic independence, but also for it contributes to self-esteem and self-dignity leading to an abiding joy for life. For persons with disability, it is still more important as the self-esteem and financial gain generated out of it offsets to a great extent the negative impact of society’s disdainful attitude. B. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust also believes in persons with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Mental Retardation, Multiple Disabilities and Mental Illness having 1. Right to live in a barrier free environment and congenial social atmosphere, 2. Right to security, protection, development and economic empowerment, 3. Right to a life of quality, equality, dignity and justice. C. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust is committed to create and develop opportunities that empower and enable challenged persons in developing their lives through training, care, therapy and other social activities. D. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust believes that the parents play a significant role in the education, vocational training and overall management of their children and thus a minimum 25% of the trustee should be always there in the Trust from among the parents of mentally challenged children. E. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust is committed to offer residential rehabilitation care with a dignified lives to persons with above disabilities in absence of their parents/guardians by establishing Residential Care Home. F. Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust shall strive to achieve these through partnership with Parents, other voluntary organizations, Governments and others. G. To offer total health care of these challenged persons and their parents Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust has made arrangement with its parent body Arogya Sandhan Santoshpur for establishment of a General Hospital of indoor beds with special provision of treatment of challenged persons. Ultimate goal of Arogya Sandhan Charitable Trust is to create, develop, ensure and establish social justice, social infrastructure, financial back up, emotional ring, appropriate and scientific education and training for rehabilitation and optimization of self-decency in lives of persons with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Mental retardation, Multiple disabilities, Mental Illness in general and more particularly and especially in cases of inability or/and in absence of their parents/guardians.
