Hospital on Wheels

Arogya Sandhan has organized more than eight hundred medical camps in the remote rural areas of West Bengal and felt the dire need of a well-equipped mobile Medical van with diagnostic machines like X-ray, and Ultra-sonography and other basic investigative facilities with small operation theatre along with audiovisual equipments. 

"Hospital on Wheels" will Help

•   To increase the mobility of our medical team to have a better access in remote rural areas of West Bengal with bigger area coverage and more number of camps and more number of distressed people. 

•   To create health awareness in a better way with modern technology, providing health education including HIV/AIDS, prevention and treatment of TB, mass-area-base vaccinations, early spot diagnosis and treatment. 

Proper implementation of this project will result in decrease in the incidence of illness and increase the health awareness and prevent spread of many diseases among the most vulnerable section of the society and save many more precious lives. 

Project Execution needs the following Fixed Cost:

      01. Mobile Medical Van with Small OT - Rs.2000000/- or US$ 40000 

      02. Portable Ultra sonography Machine - Rs.600000/- or US$ 12000 

      03. Portable X-Ray - Rs.300000/- or US$ 6000 

      04. Portable Path.equipments - Rs.400000/- or US$ 8000 

This project will offer direct diagnosis and treatment of at least three hundred people plus immunization and awareness to more than one thousand people, per day per visit, in remote rural areas in the district of South 24-Parganas,West Bengal, India.
